Elena is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online.

Background Story

Sage is the direct secret magic advisor serving Procyon. Elena secretly carries out the missions assigned by Procyon, avoiding people's eyes.

Originally, Elena was one of the twin mediums used in the forbidden experiment conducted at Senillinean Tower in Senillinea, serving as a vessel for the soul of the Lord of Destruction. However, after the experiment failed, the two were separated. Later, when the continent of Nevareth was divided in two, Elena followed Procyon and began helping with the affairs of the federation.

Unlike her twin younger sister Aizhan, Elena knows that they were raised by the Prometheus organization and that the power of the Absolute Soul Core lies dormant within her. Although she wanders in search of her lost younger sister, when Turner tells her that the power of the Absolute Soul Core also resides within her twin younger sister, she realizes her fate: she must die for the sake of the new world.

First Encounter

Under orders from Sage Procyon to provide assistance, she obediently follows Sage's orders and undertakes a mission to find Skaild. After hearing what kind of medicine Skaild may have taken, she deduces Skaild's condition.

When the player goes to see Elena after being called, Elena says it is a shame that Skaild could not be found. She says Skaild must be crying because Skaild could not be found. She shows the player Illusion Castle Radiant Hall, a massive castle resembling a labyrinth in the deepest part of Illusion Castle UnderWorld. Pointing out the player's lack of skill, she tells the player to find courage.

She enters Illusion Castle Underworld and battles Crusek Faello. She thinks Skaild is training there through combat. She finds the clue “Blazing Fireball Experience” amusing. She suggests obtaining a clue for tracking from Guard Tteggi in Desert Scream.

She asks whether there has been any progress in the search for Skaild. She tells her that she found Skaild, but asks her not to tell Sage. She questions the situation. After hearing what Sage did, she denies it. She suspects that Skaild may actually be a spy plotting a conspiracy. However, after repeated persuasion, she decides to investigate Skaild's lost memories. She then reports the situation to Sage, lying that Skaild is in a coma.

She visits Leedy and requests that she make an antidote for the medicine that will restore Skaild's lost memories. Leedy initially tries to refuse, saying it would be difficult, but agrees to make it after Elena persuades her.

Mechanical Monster Weaponry

The balance among the monsters of Nevareth Clan is collapsing. The elite corps of mages, including Elena, have been working in secret to restore the balance. However, one of the members Elena followed recently lost her life in an unfortunate accident. She warns that something truly ominous is happening in Pontus Ferrum.

Elena says she witnessed her companion's death right before her eyes and found it difficult to endure. She says that even Sage was not present at the time and therefore does not know what she truly feels. When Elena returns safely, she is relieved, saying that she had been worried because she had heard nothing for so long. She emphasizes the need to determine the cause of the monsters' endless increase.

She suspects that the mechanical monsters appearing in Pontus Ferrum were not created naturally. Pontus Ferrum was completed before the age of humans. Therefore, the primordial Metal Clan monsters are said to possess intelligence and a sense of balance. However, the monsters now appearing in Pontus Ferrum seem to have been created artificially. Evidence is needed to prove it. When evidence is brought, she asks Sage to analyze it.

It is suspected that the mechanical monsters emerging in Pontus Ferrum were not created naturally. Pontus Ferrum was originally a land that was completed before the Era of Humans. Therefore, the primordial Metal Clan monsters are said to possess both intelligence and a sense of balance. However, the monsters now appearing in Pontus Ferrum seem to have been artificially created. Evidence is needed to prove it. Bring the evidence and ask the Sage to analyze it.

After hearing Skaild's confession, Elena thinks of the one person who could create mechanical monster weapons. That person was Leedy.

When she hears about Leedy's confession, she finds it difficult to believe. She is shocked that the Sage created lethal weapons to use against humans.

The kidnapping of the Sage was foiled. She becomes concerned about Miles while searching for the culprit. Elena suspects the situation that left her no choice but to suspect Miles, saying she had not realized the residents' dissatisfaction had grown so much. She considers the possibility that the Sage was not kidnapped intentionally. She thinks it was the work of the opposition, for now, but does not reach a definite conclusion.

Hell on Earth

Afterward, tensions between the two nations reach a critical point. Elena says that she began properly looking around her after the attack on the Sage and assesses that she is vulnerable to external threats.

Elena explains the situation in Porta Inferno. Porta Inferno is the habitat of the Dark Clan. They did not originally attack civilians indiscriminately, but at some point they began invading Nevareth for an unknown reason.

We must find the cause.

After reporting the strange phenomena to the Sage, she suggests giving Leedy a chance to repent for her past mistakes. She informs Leedy of the situation in Porta Inferno and asks her to investigate its source. She suggests eliminating the Dark Clan in Porta Inferno while Leedy investigates the existence of the monument. However, the situation did not improve even after the hunt.

Skaild is in love.

It is revealed during a conversation with the Sage that Skaild is hiding something.

Eternal Winter

Saying that she has many memories of Arcane Trace, she recommends first subduing the Furious Rebel. Arcane Trace was originally a peaceful plain untouched by monsters, but an Academy founded by Capella was located there. However, the situation changed as war victims flocked there. The Academy could not accommodate the war refugees, and the victims descended into a frenzy. Now they attack people passing through Arcane Trace without listening to what anyone says.

Elena suggests eliminating the leader to control the refugees. When you return after eliminating the refugee leader, she notices that ‘my’ spirits are low and comforts me. Elena says she believes Arcane Trace shows the dark side of the Era of Humans. In the end, she says, does it not reflect the ideology that people who are not embraced by a nation have no choice but to live miserable lives? Elena asks me to train, saying that she actually knows and hides many things.

She suddenly says that there is no time and asks me to find her lost twin without Procyon knowing. She says it would be disastrous if the twin cannot be found. Elena's lost twin younger sister is said to be closely connected to some power and to remember everything. She says that one day, the time will come when the twin turns against ‘me’. That day may come soon. She says that power is now on the verge of exploding.

Recalling the monument incident, Elena tells me that her power going out of control is related to the power of the ASC Controller. We decide to go to Leedy and ask for help.

When you track down and visit the person who destroyed the monument, you find Elena unconscious and collapsed. When you take her to Turner for treatment, Turner recognizes Elena and becomes intrigued. Elena presses Turner about how he knows her. Turner had actually remembered Elena and had been searching for her. However, he did not know the whereabouts of Elena's younger sister. Turner assumes that Sage Capella must have taken her. Turner had also sought the power of the ASC Controller in order to meet Elena and the twins.

Turner advises you to find the twins and the other medium and come to him before the two twins run amok. He teaches you that a new continent called Linia lies beyond Senia Sea, saying that the continent of Nevareth will collapse if they cannot control their power. He says he will wait for you at Linia Tower there.

Elena opens a Warp Portal that allows her to see her past. You learn an unexpected fact.

Elena was Aizhan's twin and was being experimented on by Rigel. Rigel was managing the twins with a strict attitude, and the twins were afraid of the experiments because they were frightening and painful. However, Rigel became angry, saying that the twins easily obtained what he had wanted.

When Elena returns after seeing the past, she becomes bitter, calling it an unpleasant memory. According to the memory Elena revealed, Elena and Aizhan were not figuratively twins but were truly one person. They did not know who had given birth to them or how, but they thought and acted identically. People called the twins mediums. Leedy was also present at Rigel's experimental site, but apparently did not have a choice.

Elena says that the two were separated from each other after the experiments at that time, and although she remembers everything, she cannot read Aizhan's memories. When she infiltrated Sage Capella's residence at Skaild's request, she says that she saw Aizhan and that it was just as expected.

Elena says that she and Aizhan are beings who should not exist in this world. As vessels for Souls, they possess the power of the Absolute Soul Core and are supposed to become like Patren. She even says that she is currently unable to control her power. She asks you to find her twin sister and eliminate the Absolute Soul Core, even if it means killing her. It is a cruel story, but she does not want to destroy the world either.

The Prelude to the True Battle

Capella Branch

When you visit Elena, she warns that you seem suspicious and that she will send you to the afterlife. When you tell her about the Love Letter, she treats you as a strange person. When you tell her about Aizhan's existence, she is skeptical, but when you say that you know Leedy, she tries to meet Leedy with you to verify it. When you meet Leedy with distrustful Elena, Elena is surprised and asks how the two of you met. She says she promised the Sage never to let the two meet. That alone makes Elena believe you. Elena asks Leedy to keep it secret from the Sage for a while.

When you head to the tower together, she says that she wants to cling to even the slightest hope.

Procyon Branch

She presses you, asking whether you have forgotten your promise to her. She tells you that you can enter the tower and heads to Senillinean Tower with you. When you meet Turner at Senillinean Tower, Turner tells Aizhan how to regain her lost life. It is by eliminating the power of the Absolute Soul Core within the other twin. Turner says the power within the two must be removed before it runs amok, and that only he can do so. Turner asks you to bring an Ent Crystal from an Outrageous Enth in the Southern Forest, intending to use it to resonate with the power within the medium. When you return with the Ent Crystal, he checks their condition and says it had no effect because the twins were not gathered together. He demands that you gather the twins quickly.

However, once all the material and all the people have gathered, Turner reveals his true colors, kidnaps the twin sisters, and drives “me” out of the tower. When you gather people and visit him again, Turner, having revealed his true colors, confidently faces the expedition party. Turner had already awakened the twin sisters’ power. The two Sages then present opposing views. Procyon says that if the two souls are merged into one, at least one medium can be saved and that power can also be harnessed; in Aizhan’s case, her soul itself is already collapsing, so he proposes killing Aizhan and harnessing the power through Elena. Capella, on the other hand, warns that the fragment of the Lord of Destruction’s soul has already run amok, is extremely dangerous, and cannot be controlled, and that if Elena, who possesses great power by nature, is revived, she will be resurrected as the Lord of Destruction. Therefore, Capella proposes killing Elena and choosing Aizhan to eliminate the Lord of Destruction’s soul and the power of the Absolute Soul Core entirely.

When you choose Procyon and kill Aizhan, Capella objects and, saying that there are no more choices now that Aizhan is dead, joins forces with Turner to try to kidnap Elena. Turner says that without his power, the power within Aizhan will explode and the continent will be destroyed.

Leedy expels 'me' and Elena to Leedy's laboratory through the Warp Gate that she had left open in advance for an escape, then closes the Gate. Inside Leedy's laboratory, Elena awakens her power.

The twins are beings who, as mediums, connect the beginning and end of the world. They have continued to exist through repeated reincarnations. They were originally meant to be a single being (Patren in a previous life), but because of the Wheel of Fate known as the human world, which differs from previous worlds (the conflict between Capella and Procyon is an exceptional case within the grand chronology of the continent of Nevareth), they are beings divided into two, reflecting the appearance of the continent of Nevareth. Therefore, Elena accepts the fate of death and meets her end, promising to be reincarnated once again as a single fused being for the sake of this world's order.
