Pollux is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online.

Background Story

Sage Pollux's family had held the position of Seventh Sage for generations. However, young Pollux was not yet ready. If the tenth-generation holder of the Seventh Sage position had not died suddenly due to deteriorating health, young Pollux would not have inherited the position so soon.

Of course, Sage Tower was not a place that entrusted important positions solely on the basis of blood relations. Pollux, the 11th Sage, was already astonishingly capable at a young age and fully qualified to succeed to the position of Sage. However, Pollux found the Sage position he had suddenly inherited burdensome. In addition, he suffered from the pressure, exerted implicitly by those around him, to continue his family's achievements.

The surrounding Sages were not particularly helpful to young Pollux either. Aldebaran was wandering, Sirius was missing, and Rigel did not allow Pollux to approach. The ambitious Capella and Procyon had always excluded and kept Pollux in check. The other two had no contact with him either.

Given these circumstances, it was only natural that Pollux lost his motivation. Despite also serving as the symbolic leader of the Midreth Continent, Pollux became indifferent to political ambition and any kind of desire.
