Overview

Arionell is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online.

Background Story

She is an apprentice mage from the prestigious Cruise Family, renowned for Force Magic.

Although Aike considers her scatterbrained, Arionell's skill in Summoning Magic is undeniable. At times, the magic Arionell uses is so difficult that even others cannot easily imitate it. In some respects, she even surpasses the Academy's dean. The only problem is that Arionell's magic is somewhat inaccurate, difficult to control, and a little unruly.

Once, while Arionell was using magic, she accidentally summoned powerful ancient summons. As a result, Arionell nearly met with disaster, but the incident earned her Aldebaran's notice. After taking an interest in Arionell, Aldebaran decided, after considering several factors, to have her join the Ruins Investigators.

In-Game Quest Appearances

Prologue

She appears as a member of the Ruins Investigators. She introduces herself as clumsy. Apparently, because she is still inexperienced with magic, she accidentally summoned an ancient summon and nearly met with disaster, but was selected for the Investigators thanks to that incident. She introduces Aike as someone who takes good care of her and recommends meeting her.

The King's Consort and Guardian Knights

Everyone had disappeared while she was away investigating the ruins, leaving her confused. After being designated as the King's Consort by the Third Apocalypse Card, she realizes her destiny. Arionell sees an illusion of a small boy but cannot make out his face clearly. She suffers a severe headache and witnesses an illusion in which she pushes a boy into the Space of Eternity. She is confused upon learning that she is destined to be the King's Consort, but decides that if it is her inborn destiny, she should accept it. Later, she goes to find Sirius in order to meet Sirius and the guardian knights, but for some reason her magic activates properly, and she is said to have crossed space using Warp Magic. When she meets Sirius, Sirius says that six of the stars have gathered, excluding the final King's Star, and that they must find the King.

The King Has Disappeared

She discovers a Vampire Lair in the mining area of Bloody Ice and enters it, but Nine is nowhere to be found and only Arionell is crying. Arionell says that while investigating the ruins with Aike, she saw Nine being kidnapped by vampire monsters. Aike entered the Vampire Lair to rescue Nine, but contact was lost. After the rescue, Aike is unharmed, but Nine is in critical condition after being infected with vampire venom.

After it is revealed that Silverwood is the Knight of Depravity, Arionell finally remembers that the child in the vision she saw was Patren and grieves. Arionell takes part in the search for Patren, and when 'I' bring Patren back, she says she is grateful that he is safe and sorry that she did not recognize him, and offers to nurse him.

Burying the Sorrow

Although she remained by Patren's side, immediately after Nine and I left the lodging, Silverwood attacked, abducted Patren, and killed Aike. Arionell wonders how Silverwood knew that only they were there and launched the attack.

With bad news piling up—Sirius being attacked, Aldebaran and Aike dying, and Patren going missing—she vows not to let Aike and Aldebaran's deaths be in vain. She promises to risk her life to awaken Patren as the King and save Nevareth.

The Truth About Prometheus

At the abandoned house in Fort. Ruina, the group decides to split into three teams to carry out their respective missions. Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionell pursue Silverwood to find Patren, while Freed and Rin search for the ASC Controller. Nine and I attack Prometheus Base together. When Sirius and I return injured, she breaks down in tears at the thought that even Sirius might leave her side. Later, after Nine's identity as a spy is revealed, Arionell tries not to cry again, but tears well up when she sees Silverwood, saying that he reminds her of Aike.

The Source of the Lord of Destruction

They interrogate Silverwood, but achieve nothing. Silverwood shows no sign of ever revealing Patren's whereabouts. Yuan thinks of a way to make Silverwood talk.

Several core technologies of an ancient civilization are being passed down to the Metal Clan, and one of them is the Serum of Truth. It stimulates the nerves in the brain, forcing a person to speak only the truth regardless of their own will. Yuan suggests obtaining and using it.

After obtaining the Serum of Truth, Mystic Blade takes charge of the interrogation instead, saying that it would be difficult for someone who cannot see to use it.

When the Serum of Truth is used, Silverwood spills everything he knows. He says that the Lord of Destruction has already awakened and is running rampant with uncontrollable power. He also says that even the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed by the Lord of Destruction. In addition, he reveals that the Lord of Destruction, Faust, and Saint Valentine are all the same person, and that he was the one who created the ASC Controller.

Arionell finds it hard to believe that Faust and Saint Valentine are the same person, and says it is pitiful that Patren's rampage has begun.

The Kingslayer's Mission

They travel with the group to Undead Ground to find the ASC Controller. Sirius says that Patren seems to have awakened as the Lord of Destruction and gone berserk, so they must prepare a last resort. Sirius teaches them the second mission of the Six Stars. Each Guardian Knight was born with two missions, and says that Arionell and Yuan are the two who can oppose the King and break his power.

Yuan's second mission is Kingslayer, while Arionell's second mission is Seal. If Patren does not seal himself, the Stars of Light must carry out their second missions.

When Arionell hears about the Seal, she sympathizes with Patren. She says they cannot force that poor child to be sealed in the Space of Eternity.

Afterward, the group decides to split into three teams: Rin and Freed will prepare to find the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade will track Silverwood, and Veradrix and Arionell will prepare Patren's Seal. However, Patren comes to the House of Undead and asks them to request the Seal. Arionell hesitates, and Silverwood attacks in an attempt to seize the Lord of Destruction's power. Veradrix is killed while protecting Patren. Arionell informs the other companions of Veradrix's death and asks them to gather everyone, saying that she wants to hold a simple funeral.

After Veradrix's funeral, Rin and Freed investigate but cannot find the ASC Controller's whereabouts, and Mystic Blade has made no progress either. Concerned that the Lord of Destruction's rampage is accelerating, Sirius asks them to let Arionell make contact with the Lord of Destruction and watch over her as she attempts King's Consort, her second mission. Sirius says that because the Lord of Destruction's aura is erupting so strongly, Arionell will instinctively be able to find him. He also speculates that because Patren's will resides in the dagger Patren once gave me, she may be able to speak with Patren through the weapon. Arionell lacks confidence in her ability to do it well, but vows to act to prevent greater losses. She instinctively locates Patren.

At the end of the Road of Death, Arionell witnesses Patren. Arionell says that Patren is enduring within the Lord of Destruction without losing himself, then touches the Dagger received from Patren to his heart and confronts Patren's will. Although in pain, Patren knew his own mission, and Arionell feels saddened because there seems to be no way to help Patren.

After Sirius dies, the companions gather again at the House of Undead. Mourning Sirius's death, Arionell says that he hopes no one else will leave his side. He feels powerless at the fact that everything depends on Patren's will.

Destruction of the Source of the Great Destruction

After the battle with Lich Rigel, Arionell confronts Patren, who is in the final awakening stage. Patren takes Arionell before the Altar of Eternity and asks Arionell to Seal him. Patren is barely suppressing the Lord of Destruction and hopes Arionell will not be saddened by this fate. He also asks Arionell to safely carry out the Seal of the second mission as the King's companion. At Patren's request, Arionell Seals Patren within the Space of Eternity.

The player encounters Arionell at the lodging in Undead Ground. Annoyed by the Ghost Blader, Arionell asks the player to deal with them because he will continue to use this place as his residence. The player leaves the lodging after saying only not to worry. After leaving the lodging, the player deals with the Ghost Blader and Ghost Blader+ and goes back inside. When Arionell meets the player, he is pleased that his area of activity has expanded because the surrounding area has now been cleared.
