Overview

Nine is an MMORPG NPC from CABAL Online.

Background Story

Nine was a promising student since her days at the Academy. Therefore, it was only natural that Nine chose the Sage Tower over the Mage Guild as her career path. Nine graduated from the Academy with excellent grades and became the youngest Researcher at the Sage Tower.

Nine's clever and keen nature was enough to win the Sages' favor as well. Nine seemed to adapt well to life in the Sage Tower.

However, one day Nine discovered something strange among the materials stored in the Sage Tower. It was very insignificant, but it left Nine with an unpleasant feeling that something was out of place. Unable to simply dismiss it, Nine delved deeply into it in secret.

What Nine discovered as a result was extremely shocking. A secretive force was operating behind the scenes, controlling not only the Sage Tower but the world itself. They were even plotting to resurrect the Lord of Destruction by causing problems in Nevareth. It was clear that they would not let Nine live if they found out that their secret had been exposed.

After learning the secret that the Sage Tower had been hiding, Nine left the Sage Tower and went into hiding in the world. As expected, the Sage Tower sent a pursuit team after Nine. Expecting to be captured by the pursuit team, Nine divided what she had discovered into two parts, hid them, and disappeared into a cold, frigid land.

The King Disappears

After graduating from the Academy, Nine took a job at the Sage Tower, but she is now on the run after stealing important materials from the Sage Tower. Although she is in the position of a traitor, Sage Veradrix is trying to protect her, saying that he trusts Nine. At the request of Sage Veradrix, I set out to search for her, followed her trail, found Nine, and headed to Bloody Ice. However, Nine had already been kidnapped and carried away by the vampires.

After being rescued from the Vampires, Nine was in a dangerous condition after being poisoned by vampire venom. She was treated by administering an antidote obtained from other Monster Clans. Once Nine regained consciousness, she thanked me for saving her life, but said that she was tired and would rest for now.

After recovering her health, Nine says that she has discovered who was behind all the incidents that occurred in Nevareth. It was the secret society Prometheus.

Prometheus has been living in hiding throughout the Sage Tower, Polis, and Colony, and attempted to seize pieces of the Monster Clan Masters' Absolute Soul Core by manipulating the Nevareth Merchant Association and the Mage Guild. They are also planning the resurrection of the Lord of Destruction, and Patren was a clone of the Lord of Destruction created by them.

When Nine escaped from the Sage Tower, she took a map showing the location of Prometheus's Base with her. That was also why the Sage Tower pursued her. Expecting to be captured by the pursuit team, Nine divided the map into two parts and hid them separately.

However, one of the maps was taken by Ghost north of Bloody Ice, while the other was hidden in Port Lux. However, the map they found was so badly damaged that its contents could not be made out. They entrusted its restoration to Heil, but the map was filled with symbols, making it impossible to determine its meaning precisely. Since Heil, who had been tasked with restoring the map, had disappeared once again, the remaining deciphering was entrusted to Sirius. Nine says that since his condition has improved, he will meet Sirius in person and report what has happened in the meantime.

Burying the Sadness

After speaking with Sirius, Nine suddenly says that he has a bad feeling and asks them to watch over Patren. Prometheus may be going after Patren. Nine says that he himself will look for Heil together with Sirius. When they return to the lodging as he suggested, Patren is kidnapped and Aike dies.

With bad news piling up—Sirius being attacked, Aldebaran and Aike dying, and Patren going missing—Nine argues that although finding Patren is important, they must attack Prometheus's Base first. He says that doing so should also reveal Patren's whereabouts.

The Truth About Prometheus

At the abandoned house in Fort. Ruina, the group decides to split into three teams and carry out their respective missions. Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionell pursue Silverwood to find Patren, while Freed and Rin look for the ASC Controller. Nine and 'I' attack the Prometheus Base together.

Following Nine's notes, they see Sirius, disguised as Captain Mark, confronting Rigel. It is then revealed that, in a shocking turn of events, Nine was controlled by The Vampire and acted as a spy for Prometheus. The plan to attack Prometheus's Base had been a trap devised by Prometheus from the very beginning. As a result, Sirius and 'I' are injured and withdraw, while Nine returns to Prometheus.
