Overview

Mystic Blade is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online.

Background Story

The taciturn, quiet, mysterious warrior Mystic Blade was once a member of a secret organization. However, Mystic Blade left the secret organization for unknown reasons. In the process, he lost his eyesight, but gained extrasensory power instead.

Mystic Blade now wanders the world, searching for and tracking down clues about the secret organization, particularly pursuing Silverwood, who blinded him. Although the details are unknown, judging by his actions, it is clear that Silverwood was the one who blinded Mystic Blade.

While pursuing Silverwood, Mystic Blade happened to meet Aldebaran. After talking with each other, they began cooperating. Following Aldebaran's death, Mystic Blade joined the effort to save Nevareth from the threat of the Lord of Destruction's resurrection and the Great Destruction.

Grieving Aldebaran

He is introduced when meeting Veradrix in place of the deceased Aldebaran. Mystic Blade was assisting Aldebaran with his work as a cooperative partner when he learned that Aldebaran had been attacked and went to rescue him. However, by the time Mystic Blade arrived, Aldebaran was already on the verge of death. Aldebaran handed Mystic Blade the investigation records concerning the spy inside the Sage Tower, along with the information he had discovered about the spy. Mystic Blade then recovered Aldebaran's body and brought it to Port Lux. The traitor was apparently Rigel, another Sage of the Sage Tower. He subsequently agrees to travel to Fort. Ruina. However, he raises the possibility that someone in the group may be being controlled by Prometheus.

The Truth About Prometheus

They gather with their companions at an abandoned house in Fort. Ruina. Worried that Fort. Ruina feels ominous, as though it is heavily shrouded in fog, they wonder whether they made the wrong choice. At the abandoned house in Fort. Ruina, the group decides to split into three teams and carry out their respective missions. Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionell pursue Silverwood to find Patren, while Freed and Rin search for the ASC Controller. After tracking Silverwood, they successfully capture him.

The Source of the Lord of Destruction

They interrogate Silverwood, but achieve no results. Silverwood shows no intention of ever revealing Patren's whereabouts. Yuan comes up with a way to make Silverwood talk.

Several core technologies of the ancient civilization are being passed down to the Metal Clan, one of which is Serum of Truth. It stimulates the brain's nerves, causing the user to speak only the truth regardless of their will. Yuan suggests obtaining and using it.

Once the Serum of Truth is obtained, Mystic Blade takes on the interrogation instead, saying that it would be difficult for him to use it because he cannot see.

When the Serum of Truth is used, Silverwood spills everything he knows. He says that the Lord of Destruction has already awakened and is running rampant with uncontrollable power. He also says that even the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed by the Lord of Destruction. He reveals that the Lord of Destruction, Faust, and Saint Valentine are all the same person, and that he was also the one who created the ASC Controller.

Mystic Blade says that no one witnessed Saint Valentine sealing the Lord of Destruction, and that if Silverwood's words are indeed true, they must find another solution.

Kingslayer

They travel with the group to Undead Ground to find the ASC Controller. When Veradrix was murdered, Mystic Blade was pursuing Silverwood. Upon hearing of Veradrix's death, Mystic Blade laments that Silverwood deceived them and caused them to miss him. Mystic Blade heads to the House of Undead first, telling them to inform Yuan of the news and return.

When Yuan returns injured after rushing off alone, it is said that he obtained medicine for injuries from Heil. However, Heil gave me one more unidentified bottle of medicine. Mystic Blade recommends visiting Soyoung, the magic merchant in Fort. Ruina, to find out what the medicine is.

Destroying the Source of the Great Destruction

While tracking Silverwood's trail, they discovered something strange and returned. Although Mystic Blade cannot see, their other senses have developed exceptionally well, and they say they detected the distinctive medicinal smell of a wizard and the smell of blood near the Death Giant habitat. Mystic Blade suspects that the Prometheus group's headquarters may be there. They then hurriedly pursue Silverwood again.

After Sirius's death, they apologize for not being able to make contact quickly when all their companions had gathered. They say that they should wait for the Lord of Destruction to be sealed while also preparing for the possibility of failure.

They ask you to investigate the situation, saying that an ominous energy seems to be spreading across the continent under the influence of the Lord of Destruction's rampage, and that this too seems to be related to the Lord of Destruction.

Mystic Blade says that once Patren's Seal is complete, they will pursue Silverwood again. They say that this story will only end when one of the two dies.

After asking what I plan to do in the future, they say that they will give me something to do if I do not know what to do next. Mystic Blade asks me to build a small gravestone commemorating Aike, Aldebaran, Veradrix, and Sirius, who died before them. They say that the one they were building remains unfinished near the House of Undead and ask me to complete it.
