    Overview

Researcher Heil is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online.

    Background Story

Heil worked at Sage Tower for a long time and currently works at an affiliated research institute, in charge of the special Colony. He is also a longtime friend of Sage Sirius.

Heil's skills are considered among the best in Nevareth, and everyone who knows his abilities wants to commission Heil for analysis. As a result, Heil never runs out of work.

However, Heil is extremely short-tempered and eccentric. He is even willing to release a large number of monsters throughout the area around the research institute to keep people away.

It is already well known that Heil is a gambling addict with an eccentric personality. He sometimes sells valuable experimental subjects to pay off his gambling debts. However, although Heil may grumble, he never refuses another person's request.

    In-Game Quest History

    Anomaly

You first meet him when you visit him at Officer Dunhaik’s request. Dunhaik warns you about Heil’s eccentricity, and Heil really does get angry from the very first meeting, saying that it is insolent for a rookie to dare make a request of him. In exchange for analyzing the sample, he demands that you deliver the analysis of a Zombie blood sample to Bloody Ice. If you accept his demand, he warns you to take good care of your life, saying that an epidemic is spreading through Bloody Ice.

When you visit him again to have him analyze a sample obtained by the jungle expedition that went missing in Green Despair, he quickly analyzes it while sarcastically remarking that you were lucky to survive in Bloody Ice. Heil discovers that the expedition disappeared because of a parasitic plant inside the ore.

    King's Consort and Guardian Knight

He complains that you have come back again. However, when you mention Sirius's name, his attitude changes, and he quickly finishes interpreting the symbols and tells you the results. The seeker of truth who has forgotten death signifies a Skeleton Mage, the warrior who cannot sleep in the land of scorching heat signifies a Special Mummy, the immense desire gazing upon a blood-red world signifies a Huge Spider, and the gathering atop an altar whipped by a blizzard signifies the Altar of the Snowstorm in Bloody Ice. They say that only those who unravel the thousand-year-old secret at the Altar of the Snowstorm can obtain what they desire. If you solve the altar's riddle according to Heil's interpretation, you obtain the Second Apocalypse Card.

You later try to find him because of another Apocalypse Card, but Heil has gone into hiding because of gambling debts. He even entrusted the ancient research book needed to decipher the Apocalypse Card to Tesky and borrowed money. When you return after retrieving the Ancient Deciphering Book from Tesky, he laments that he sold this precious item because of gambling, but willingly lends you the Ancient Deciphering Book.

    Monster Clan's Provocation

If you bring him the bodies of the expedition members who went missing in the jungle, he will perform an autopsy. In return, he demands that you recover the weapon Mitroff lost. He is currently at a loss because he has not received payment. Once you recover the weapon, he will receive payment from Mitroff and perform the autopsy. He sends the autopsy results to Shooterburk.

    The King Disappears

At Nine's request, he takes on the restoration of a map showing Prometheus's Base. Heil grumbles that he wants to rest, but they keep making him work.

In Search of the Land of Death

Porter, the harbor manager who received a request from Freed, has actually found someone who knows the whereabouts of the ASC Controller. That person is Heil. Heil, who was thought to have quit gambling, has fallen back into it and has been selling the high-grade specimens he had collected to fund his gambling. Even so, he is now out of funds.

Porter says that Heil will meet you if you bring him high-grade specimens. When you bring him high-grade specimens, Heil demands to meet in person. When you ask about the ASC Controller, Heil tells you about the ASC Controller.

Hundreds of years ago, Heil's mentor moved the ASC Controller to Undead Ground. It is said that, at the time, it was agreed at the Sage Tower that the item's location should be hidden somewhere unknown to everyone. Therefore, Heil's mentor, who was the senior-most researcher at the time, supposedly sealed the item in Undead Ground in place of the Seven Sages. However, it was so long ago that even Heil does not know its exact location. He tells you where Undead Ground is.

Destroying the Source of the Great Destruction

When you visit Heil on Sirius's orders to obtain a wiretap device, he is waiting with the door wide open. He says he was waiting in hopes of receiving a gift about as valuable as a Ghost Blader+ sword. If you bring Heil a Ghost Blader+ sword, he gives you a Wireless Wiretap Device.

When you meet him after Sirius dies, he tells you that the rumor of the Sage Tower's destruction is true. He says that the one who destroyed it was the Lord of Destruction, and that the Sages seemed calm because they had anticipated this to some extent.

Heil says that major problems will arise in Nevareth now that the Sage Tower, which had served as the leader guiding Nevareth, has been destroyed. He also prophesies the future conflict between Procyon and Capella, saying that it will be a war heralding the dawn of the Era of Humans. He then gives you the letter Sirius entrusted to him long ago.
