The Six Apostles of Mephistopheles

Overview

It refers to the six priests of Prometheus. Their origin can be traced to the “Six Lights” appearing in the chapter on the Seal in The Book of the Beginning. The literature simply states that the “Six Thoughts disappeared after becoming light” and later “grew in power and destroyed the Seal,” but as the story was passed down among the people, it changed into the tale that “six priests empowered by Prometheus appeared, broke six Seals, resurrected the demon king, and destroyed the world.” Because the story became deeply ingrained among the people, it even caused bloody incidents of false accusations and impeachment known as the “Hunt for the Six Apostles.” In fact, it has never been revealed in what form the scattered “light of the Six Thoughts” will be reborn.
