A land completed before the Era of Humans for beings that are not human. The machine monsters whose origins are unknown are said to have been given codenames in the order they were discovered.

Features

Pontus Ferrum is a mechanical plain near Fort. Ruina. It can be accessed through the Mechamander Area. It is the most alien region of all Nevareth. Buildings made of metal, whose types and purposes are unknown, stand throughout the area, while unidentified energy sources emit light. As a result, the sky always has a bluish hue. According to the records of the Honorable Age, it is a land for nonhuman beings completed before the Era of Humans. Blacksmith Alba Hide describes it as a sea of cold metal. While Procyon and the Capella Federation were fighting to claim the Sage's Legacy, they discovered it almost simultaneously and were therefore forced to investigate it together. Even the Metal Clan monsters in Fort. Ruina are so insignificant compared with the monsters residing in Pontus Ferrum that they are merely underlings. As it is a major settlement of the Metal Clan, the Metal Clan monitors all beings entering and leaving the area via airships in the sky and attacks without hesitation whenever hostile life forms are discovered. The tower at the center of Pontus Ferrum is presumed to be a forward base built by the Metal Clan to invade Nevareth. The Capella Federation and Procyon named it Maquinas Outpost and promised a huge reward to warriors who brought back technology held by the Metal Clan. Procyon and the Capella Federation assigned codenames to the machine life forms residing in Pontus Ferrum in the order they were discovered. Thus, unlike Nevareth's other monsters, whose origins can be traced to myth, the monsters of Pontus Ferrum follow a distinctive numbering format. Many people still enter Pontus Ferrum to study its monsters. In addition, orphans from Fort. Ruina secretly enter Pontus Ferrum to collect scrap metal and junk so they can make a living.
