7 Sages
Overview
The two disciples who had departed with the Sage returned They visited the five disciples one by one, shed tears, and said “Upon reaching the Land of Ice, our master fought the demon for seven days and seven nights and sealed it. At the final moment, six lights rose from it and scattered in all directions. Our master lamented, saying, ‘Because I lacked the power, I failed to contain the demon’s thoughts. They will grow stronger and come to break the Seal. You seven must prevent the demon’s resurrection with all your strength,’ and then he never rose again.” The seven disciples who led the people to the three lands shared their power so that the people could live independently, and built a tower in the Land of Ice to cultivate their power and guard the Seal. In praise of them for bringing peace,
the people began calling the place where they stayed the Sage Tower.
The title 7 Sages refers to the leader of Sage Tower. It is also used specifically to refer to the seven disciples of [[Saint Valentine]].
The titles of the original 7 Sages, in order, were Sirius, Capella, Rigel, Procyon, Betelgeuse, Aldebaran, and Pollux, though it is unknown whether these were their real names. The second-generation 7 Sages also used the same titles, which have been passed down through the generations.
Currently, the six Sages other than 12th-generation Sirius are in their 11th generation. Recently, Veradrix was selected as the 8th Sage after his abilities were recognized.
Hidden Facts
They were disciples whom Faust rescued after disguising his identity as Saint Valentine. Faust accepted only children with exceptional potential as disciples in order to determine whether an ordinary human with potential could control ASC.
They led the survivors after Great Destruction and set out for the newly emerged continent. There, they led the development of civilization through the knowledge and abilities Faust had passed on and left behind. However, one of them was actually an entity sent in by Prometheus so that it could inherit Faust's ASC. He became Faust's disciple by pretending it was a coincidence. However, he failed to inherit ASC during the Great Destruction, causing Prometheus's plan to go awry.
When ASC broke into seven pieces and six pieces disappeared, making it effectively impossible to use ASC's power, Prometheus's plan was also disrupted. As an alternative, Prometheus induced the seven disciples to share Faust's role among themselves.
