Overview

During the six days of destruction

when the world trembled in despair there was a sage who protected the people along with seven disciples. On the seventh day, he said to his disciples and the people, “Now that the demon is resting, I shall go and confront it.” One of the disciples asked, “If you go, Master, who will protect the people when we do not know when it will regain its strength or where it is?” The sage replied, “When it manifested in the world, it knew me, and I knew it. It fears me because I can stop it. Knowing that I protect the world, it is destroying the world first, and it is increasing its strength through the despair and fear of the people. Therefore, if not now, we will never be able to deal with it.” Then he pointed to three of his disciples and said, “There are three lands rising from the sea on the opposite side of the world. There, you can preserve humanity for a thousand years. Lead the people there.” He said to two other disciples, “Even if the demon falls, the monsters subject to it will remain in this land. Give the people the strength to protect themselves from them.”

Then he departed with the two remaining disciples.
