Overview
Officer Henkoff is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. Can be found in Bloody Ice.
Background Story
He is stationed at Bloody Ice, a Special Combat Colony of Hellenia in Polis at the northernmost tip of Midress. He helps new recruits adapt to Nevareth. His duties include delivering news from Sage Tower and messages from outside to the trainees. Henkoff is also connected to Sage Sirius.
Activities in In-Game Quests
Bloody Ice
Because Bloody Ice itself is understaffed, Henkoff tends to support me through other duties rather than helping me directly. I first meet him when I enter the Special Combat Colony as a trainee. He teaches me how to read maps and about the town, provides Potions and settlement funds, and introduces me to an instructor who provides training. He also helps me progress through the promotion process. When I return after completing Warrior's Oath, he tells me about the existence of the Collection and gives me a Weapon.
Anomaly
I meet him again when I visit Bloody Ice at Researcher Heil's request. Henkoff was troubled by the Thief Guild's attacks, which had prompted him to set out to eliminate the Thief Guild in the Colony and Polis, as well as by the plague, the increase in Zombies, and people's disappearances. Just then, he is shocked to receive the sample analysis report sent by Heil.
After learning of the relationship between Zombies and the plague, Henkoff is shocked and asks me to uncover clues about the zombie incident. After investigating Ghost Lodge, I learn that the missing plague patients had turned into Zombies.
The Colony Alliance and the Polis authorities decide to burn the camps to prevent the plague from spreading throughout Nevareth. Henkoff asks me to take responsibility for burning the camps. After I burn all the camps, he thanks me and allows me to rest in Green Despair.
The Provocation of the Monster Clan
He urgently tells me to go to Green Despair.
When I visit Nine, I learn that he has grasped the situation through Veradrix's letter. However, Henkoff refuses Nine's request for protection, citing a shortage of troops. Instead, he sends a reconnaissance party to patrol the area. As a result of the patrol, he discovers a vampire nest in the mining area of Bloody Ice and informs me.
Destroying the Source of the Great Destruction
He was shocked to learn that the Sage Tower had been destroyed, and he worries about Nevareth's future, fearing that an even greater disaster may befall it. He then says that an urgent message has arrived and tells you to go see Warehouse Guard Fisher.
Normal Quest
Perhaps because of his age, he has old-fashioned views. A warrior values self-discipline and believes they must be wary of becoming obsolete.
A few days ago, an adventurer came to Bloody Ice. The adventurer reportedly told the officials of the Special Combat Colony that they must stop those on par with the Lord of Destruction at all costs. An old diary was discovered while recovering the adventurer's body, and O'Connor is now troubled by it. The deceased adventurer was a renowned treasure hunter during their lifetime. While exploring the area with companions, the adventurer discovered a facility believed to have been built before the Honorable Age. The problem was that monsters lived there. Henkoff orders an investigation into the facility. It would later be named Chaos Arena. Henkoff gives me the key to enter the facility.
Henkoff is interested in records of ancient civilizations remaining throughout Nevareth. Recently, records related to Nevareth were discovered in a desert region. Henkoff asks me to investigate the stele bearing the records, saying that they may contain information about the turmoil that began one day and spread across Nevareth.
Henkoff shows an official document sent by the Allied Nations. Henkoff says that the Capella Federation and Procyon send official documents irregularly. Their purpose is dungeon exploration and training warriors. An order has been issued in Bloody Ice to eliminate the Werewolf in Tower of Undead B1F. When you return after defeating it, Henkoff tells you to take on the challenge again when the next official document arrives.
Henkoff lamented that many people were destined to die because of the wars that would take place throughout Nevareth. Blinded by war, humanity had forgotten that monsters still remained. Henkoff says that if the monsters counterattack while everyone is distracted by war, they will be doomed. To eliminate as much danger as possible, Henkoff asks you to eliminate the Wraith, the strongest monster in Undead Ground. When you return after defeating the Wraith, he says you have done well but warns that the monsters you encounter in the future will be even more dangerous.
He introduces Eternal Chaos Arena as a place for training. He says that if you collect 10 Fragments of Chaos in Eternal Chaos Arena, Chole, the crafting merchant, will create a Chaos Core.
He is said to have been a renowned warrior in the past, but to fear a monster called Tartaminos. If you defeat Tartaminos, he tells you its legend and advises you to be careful not to become trapped in Illusion Castle Underworld.
One day, Ape zombie began picking fights with people at every opportunity. Suspicious of its strange behavior, Henkoff reported it to the Sage Tower, but the Sage Tower presented strange experimental results. However, Henkoff could not accept the experimental results. He did not pay attention to the Sage Tower either. Henkoff wants to refute the Sage Tower's claim with a new experiment. Henkoff asks you to bring him Ape zombie blood. Henkoff vows to prove without fail that Ape zombie possesses violent tendencies.
He gives you a quest to hunt Queen Siena of the Plant Clan.
He recommends testing yourself in Pontus Ferrum. Pontus Ferrum is said to be a region ruled by the Metal Clan, famous for its strict surveillance. Without your knowledge, Metal Clan airships collect information, and the ground is filled with unfamiliar mechanical monsters. Henkoff tells you to test yourself there.
Henkoff tells you that you can enter Undead Ground. Undead Ground was a region occupied by the dead and ruled by the Undead Clan. However, after someone explored Undead Ground one day, a way to enter it was discovered. The Tower of Undead is a facility resembling an ice pillar erected in the center of Undead Ground, and is said to be more difficult to enter than Undead Ground. Henkoff reveals that the Epaulet of the Dead occasionally drops while hunting in Undead Ground. It was an entry ticket to the Tower of Undead. Henkoff gives you an Epaulet of the Dead, saying that the Tower of Undead is divided into the 1st and 2nd floors.
Henkoff asks you to stop the conspiracy unfolding in Tower of Undead B3F. Tower of Undead B3F is where the ruler of the Undead Clan resides, and they are planning to invade Nevareth. He hands over the tools needed for entry.
