Overview

Miles is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. They can be encountered in Bloody Ice.

Background Story

Miles is a young man with a harmonious family who serves as a guard in Bloody Ice. He finds standing guard in the cold boring. In particular, the monsters that mainly appear in Bloody Ice are undead, so Miles, who hates the undead, is horrified by them. Miles's younger sibling serves as a scout in Pontus Ferrum.

Bloody Ice

After completing the Promotion Test, he speaks to you first. He says he has been looking for the most outstanding talent among the trainees and asks you to volunteer. He says the residents are suffering greatly because the number of Scorlug monsters in front of the Colony has increased sharply, and asks you to deal with them. After you deal with the Scorlug monsters, he seems pleased and asks you to remain friends and help him in the future.

First Meeting

Miles and Eric come to you together and tell you that they are gathering people who oppose the Sage. They are concerned that if Nevareth changes as the Sage says, people will live with even more suffering than they do now.

If you consult with Aizhan and Elena again, then visit him and say that you will help with the work, Miles grumbles about the Sage but does not refuse your help.

Mechanical Monster Weapon

He stops you, saying that he has a headache. The cause of the headache is his missing younger sibling. He says he has lost contact with the younger sibling who worked as a guard alongside him. He asks for help, saying that he never imagined something like this could happen to his family. His younger sibling was a scout in Pontus Ferrum, and their mother gave them a talisman to ensure their safe return. He asks you to bring him the talisman if you meet the younger sibling. When you find the talisman and bring it to him, he becomes confused, then hurriedly leaves, saying that he believes his younger sibling will return. You can later hear news from Eric.

When you visit again, Miles is angry rather than saddened by his younger sibling's death and says that you should go see Turner. Miles believes that the Sages are responsible for this situation and says he will take action himself. He threatens you as well, saying that if you side with the Sage, you will be an enemy of the Colony from then on.

When you visit the Sage with Miles, the Sage scolds him for being rude, but Miles angrily launches into an impassioned speech. He demands that the war end, saying that this happened because of the power struggle among the Sages. The Sage warns that if sacrifices are not made now, ruin will come in the future, but Miles ignores the warning and leaves. If you visit him later after the attempted kidnapping of the Sage, he accuses you of coming on the Sage's orders, but when you show him the picture of his younger sibling found at the scene, he denies attempting to kidnap the Sage.

Normal Quests

Miles is at his wits' end because of the Ape zombies, whose numbers grow by the day. The Guards cannot handle the increasing number of monsters. Miles asks that they be dealt with quickly before the apes turn into Zombies. Once they have all been exterminated, Miles says he can only hope that a peaceful world will come as soon as possible.

Miles absolutely hates undead monsters. He says that merely being watched by an undead monster makes him feel as though his Soul is being stolen, filling him with disgust. Miles says he had prepared a plan to eliminate the Vampires, claiming that Nevareth would never have come this far if it had not been for them. However, since they have existed as a group for a long time, he insists that they must be opposed in the same manner. Miles requests that you hunt the Vampire Servants, saying that defeating them will shatter the Vampires' hierarchy.
