Yerte is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. He can be found in Port Lux.

Background Story

Yerte is an old and experienced wizard. As a result, Yerte has the ability to step back from others and observe events with a contemplative eye. This often causes people to misunderstand him, but Yerte never withholds his advice from others. Incidentally, Yerte enjoys thrills enough to enjoy fishing for man-eating sharks.

First appearance. If you visit him with a suspicious Bottle of Blue Liquid at Veradrix's request, he reveals its identity. The Bottle of Blue Liquid was extracted from impurities produced when mining underground resources and could weaken Plant Clan monsters. It was not something wizards could create on their own. The power of the Metal Clan was needed.

Yerte is concerned about Port Lux's geographical location. Port Lux is a small island between enormous continents, but it is a precious homeland for the people living in the Colony. Yerte does not like fighting to break out in his homeland, so he is preventing the dispute between Eite and Agris. However, deep down, he believes that some things are unavoidable for the sake of a peaceful world.

First Encounter

Upon learning that Skaild has gone missing, he recalls the past. He says that Skaild once wanted to go to some castle to seek adventure. He explains that a copy of Illusive Apocalypse is needed to enter the castle.

Normal Quests

Yerte, who needs Blue Orbs, asks you to hunt Crag Turtle. He says that Blue Orbs appear when you defeat Crag Turtle wandering around the Colony. Satisfied with the Blue Orbs you have collected, Yerte tells you to visit him from time to time.

Yerte tells you the story of Peryton+. Peryton+'s feathers are said to possess tremendous healing abilities. As a result, rumors say that wearing clothes decorated with Peryton+'s Blue Feathers enhances immunity. Yerte wants to give Hampric some clothes. When you bring him the feathers, Yerte says it is fortunate that Hampric can live even one day longer thanks to them.

Yerte is obsessed with fishing for man-eating sharks. He hunts them with a fishing harpoon gun made by Eite. He asks you to obtain bait, saying that man-eating sharks respond particularly well to Flame Hound tails. When you bring him the bait, Yerte suddenly bursts out laughing. He adds that seeing sharks blinded by profit despite the possibility of dying reminds him of people who fall into their own greed and become corrupted.

He studied experiments involving the injection of Force into the body. This would normally cause problems with the body, but following Yerte's method, it is possible to create a new body, and Saint Valentine is said to have manifested Force in the form of wings, much like the Lord of Destruction. Once Force Wing has grown to a certain extent, summon Yerte to learn about the strange pillars along the coast of Port Lux.

Yerte suddenly scolds you, asking whether someone who trains every day should have a body in such a state. He says that in such a condition, you cannot even touch Saint's Forcecalibur. If you ask what that is, Yerte chides you again for being so behind on the information. The Lakeside expedition, which had been suspended due to the conflict between Capella and Procyon, has now resumed. During the expedition, a Force Field was reportedly discovered on an island located in the center of the lake.

Yerte tells the story of the past. In the past, Capella and Procyon recognized the danger after dispatched exploration parties continued to disappear, so they formed a joint expedition. Although it was a project involving more than 100 personnel, there was only one survivor from the expedition. Astonishingly, the survivor was a weapon that emitted the same energy as the Force Field discovered in the lake and granted its user tremendous abilities. However, the weapon retained its form only while a Force Field was imbued within it.

The same phenomenon was observed later. They concluded that the Force Field imbued in the weapon lasted for up to one week and that the weapon was destroyed as soon as the Force Field disappeared. The Capella Federation and Procyon were unable to determine the principles related to the weapon, but eventually found traces of waves matching the Force, the weapon, and the Force Field emitted by the entity guarding the island around the time Saint Valentine sealed the Lord of Destruction. As a result, Capella and Procyon concluded that the Force used by Saint Valentine while sealing the Lord of Destruction had condensed like a weapon. Yerte explains that the researchers named it Saint's Forcecalibur.

After Saint's Forcecalibur was revealed, Capella and Procyon began fighting again. Whenever a Force Field is detected on the lake island, warriors compete to claim Saint's Forcecalibur. However, only one person can possess it. Yerte advises you not to neglect your training if you want to obtain Saint's Forcecalibur.
