Background Story

Hampric witnessed all of the early history of Port Lux. He settled in Port Lux and has continued to run a general store ever since. Although he is now old and stooped, Hampric was once an adventurer who was second to none and a man filled with youthful passion.

Normal Quest

Hampric once met the woman he loved while traveling from place to place, but by now he had grown old and lost his vitality. Even if the rumors that Nevareth was disappearing proved false, he was in a state where he would not have much time left. Hampric wants to make a Fan for the woman he loves. As he touches Peryton feathers, Hampric smiles while recalling the image of a woman waving a fan.

Before his death, Hampric wanted to give a feather Fan to his first love, but sadly, she had already died. Hampric grieved as he looked at the Fan that could not be delivered to his first love. Hampric intends to sell the feather Fan to Deighton. Hampric and Deighton are said to be old friends. Deighton, who received the feather Fan, says it is even more precious because it was a gift from Hampric, but then realizes the truth and gives a bitter smile, wondering whether friendship may come after love. Deighton advises him not to neglect those around him, as friends may be more precious than a lover.

Hampric says that in times of wartime turmoil, resources are a much better currency than cash. After examining the flow of currency, Hampric predicts that war will break out in Nevareth before long. Hampric recounts what he heard from an informant in the trading guild. Capella and Procyon are allied only for a certain purpose, and their ideologies are fundamentally opposed.
