    Overview

Shooterburk is an MMORPG NPC in CABAL Online. They can be found in Green Despair.

    Background Story

They are stationed at Colony Desert Scream, west of Polis in Industria on the Pastur Continent. They have been dispatched to the special Colony Green Despair to help new trainees adapt to Nevareth. They deliver news from Sage Tower and from outside to the trainees.

    In-Game Quest History

    Green Despair

You first meet them when you enter the Special Combat Colony as a trainee. They teach you how to read the map and about the town.

At your first meeting, they provide you with Potions and settlement funds and introduce you to an instructor who will provide training. They also help you proceed through the promotion process. When you return after completing Warrior's Oath, they tell you about the existence of Collection and give you a weapon.

    Anomaly

They say that strange mutations have recently been occurring in the jungle and that a jungle expedition was dispatched, but unfortunately they left their Compass behind. Without the Compass, they have no choice but to remain stranded in the jungle. They ask you to deliver it instead.

They visit you while you are resting after resolving the zombie epidemic in Bloody Ice and ask you to take on a case. The investigative expedition dispatched to the jungle has gone missing. You later discover that the anomalies occurring across the continent are not separate incidents but are closely connected. As a result, a meeting of the officers from each Colony is held.

    The Spread of Heresist

They had been struggling to deal with the return of people who had fallen in with the Heresist after Collins's son returned. When Shooterburk receives a report that the Dark Clan was involved, they become concerned and realize that their objectives coincide, just as the Mage Guild was behind the mutations that occurred in the jungle previously. They ask you to investigate other cases to determine the Heresist's exact identity and the conspiracy they are plotting. When you report that the site of the ritual is near the ice mountains of Bloody Ice, they are frustrated that matters surrounding the anomaly's true cause are so intricately tangled and that Sage Tower is taking no action. Shooterburk says that there is currently no manpower to eliminate the Heresist and asks you to determine the relationship between the Mage Guild, the Dark Clan, and the Heresist. If you bring back an injured Heresist who collapsed at the scene, they imprison and interrogate them to obtain information. After the interrogation, the prisoner confesses what they know: they become strongest on the night of the full moon. Shooterburk tells you the legend of The Vampire. When the full moon rises, it gains infinite energy from the moon's power. The Vampire is a monster of the Undead Clan, so it does not match the Dark Clan, the true force behind the events revealed so far.

    Provocation by the Monster Clan

At Henkoff's request, you go to Green Despair and meet Shooterburk. They say they discovered the bodies of the expedition members who went missing in the jungle previously. Shooterburk wants to confirm it.

The situation with Mitroff’s lost weapon had also given Shooterburk quite a headache. Shooterburk suspects that this was because the Mage Guild provoked the Plant Clan. As evidence, he says that according to Heil’s autopsy results, the soil found on the corpse had absorbed human energy. Shooterburk says that the balance between monsters and humans that had sustained Nevareth would collapse. He says there must undoubtedly be a force operating behind the Mage Guild.

Destroy the Source of the Great Destruction

Shooterburk tells you about the rumors currently circulating. A tremendous explosion occurred somewhere in Nevareth last night, and people reportedly witnessed a lightning-like flash accompanied by a loud noise. Some say that the Sage Tower was destroyed, but there is no way to know whether it is true. He says Heil might know.

    Suspicious Sage

Shooterburk asks you to meet the Sage and find out everything that happened. He recommends meeting Sage Capella. He sends you to the residence of Sage Capella (or Sage Procyon) in Green Despair (or Desert Scream). He urges you to keep secret that you already know Leedy. After you meet the Sage and leave, Shooterburk tells you to ask him anytime if you need help in the future.

He says that, having wondered what was happening in the Colony, he could not pretend not to know after looking into the matter. He tells you to ask the Eileen siblings whether the item exists. When you tell the Eileen siblings what you saw and heard, he admits that he deliberately asked you to do so. He says he has heard that there is someone known as the Savior these days and tells you to meet them. After hearing what happened, Shooterburk says he may have been too wary of Turner and tells you not to worry about it.

    First Meeting

He finds it strange when he sees that your face is deathly pale. After hearing what happened, he learns that you are in the same situation—in other words, you have lost your trust and faith in the Sage. Shooterburk also understands what happened. In principle, you must pledge loyalty to the Sage, but strange things keep happening. Shooterburk advises you to trust yourself, but not anyone else.

    Normal Quest

He says that he once got lost and wandered around Lakeside, where he encountered the Minotaurus Berderk Faello and had a hard time. He advises you to beware of Berderk Faello, Crusek Faello, and Zigdris Faello.

He tells you about the existence of Mutant Forest, which lies beyond the mutated jungle.

An Officer is a profession responsible for maintaining security in the Colony. As a result, Officers frequently capture enemy soldiers or monsters. Officer Shooterburk was very interested in interrogating them to extract information. Shooterburk says he needs Carnivorous Plant Seeds that have fallen in the Red Jungle area to create a new torture device, and asks you to obtain them. When you bring back the Carnivorous Plant Seeds, Shooterburk is pleased, saying that he can create an effective torture device.

Rumors have recently been circulating that the Lord of Destruction has been resurrected. The Sage Tower claims that it is an unfounded story, but says that the Colony Officers think differently, and asks whether you know anything about the rumor. Shooterburk was preparing a plan against the famine that would strike when the Lord of Destruction was resurrected. He asks you to obtain the Grain Seeds needed for it.

Shooterburk tells you about a newly discovered area beyond Green Despair. In the central eastern part of the Pastur Continent lies a forest region famous as the Forest of Nostalgia. Given its vast size, its climate is also highly changeable. This is why it was named the Forest of Nostalgia. Many people died during the settlement process. The name itself uses the characters for longing and countryside, giving it the meaning of nostalgia. The Forest of Nostalgia was also famous as the so-called World Tree Forest. It came to be known as the World Tree Forest because enormous trees, so large that their tops could not be seen, were scattered around like landmarks. The World Tree Forest is a place with an extraordinarily strange distribution of vegetation. Coniferous forests, deciduous forests, and tropical forests are mixed together. As a result, living conditions were inevitably poor. However, after the Capella Federation and Procyon continued their explorations, they discovered a new region beyond the mutated jungle. It was Mutant Forest. Since mutants overtaken by parasitic plants roam there, it is dangerous, and they reportedly cannot allow just anyone to enter. Shooterburk says that you cannot know what something is really like until you experience it yourself, and warns you not to enter out of curiosity.
