Libert is an NPC in CABAL Online, an MMORPG. They can be encountered in Green Despair.

Background Story

Libert is a unique presence among the merchants of Green Despair. His sole concern is expanding his own business. He works energetically every day to develop new items and devotes all his efforts to finding ways to make money. Naturally, he also possesses the insight to match.

Activities in In-Game Quests

Green Despair

After completing the Promotion Test, he speaks to you first. Saying that he had been looking for the most promising talent among the trainees, he asks you to volunteer. He asks you to defeat Elder Troglos and bring him Coconuts. Once you fulfill his request, he seems pleased and asks you to continue helping him in the future. Afterward, he asks you to obtain a Troglo Warrior's wooden club. He says there is no better firewood in the jungle.

The Spread of the Heresist

When the Heresists capture and bring a Moscutter bearing a special mark intended for sacrifice, he becomes serious and asks where they obtained it. Marking sacrificial offerings was a habit of the Dark Clan. He tells them to report this to Officer Shooterberg.

The Strange Traveler Skaild

Skaild provides information that bringing back the hide of a Two-headed Hound from the Forgotten Ruin would make a great deal of money. But it was another trick. When the hide is taken to the general merchant Libert, Libert pities them, asking why they brought back such rubbish and saying that he can extend credit if they urgently need money.

Normal Quest

Libert ran out of baskets made from Bitterleaf leaves that he had been selling. The baskets were the signature product of Libert's general store, but Libert had accepted orders without realizing that he had accidentally run out of stock. Libert asks you to procure the materials so that he can meet the delivery date.

Libert is too busy expanding his business to think straight. Libert asks me to deliver, on his behalf, an item that the Eileen siblings are supposed to receive. When I visit them, the Eileen siblings are anxious because Libert has not come to make the delivery.

Libert tells you about the existence of Hazardous Valley, which had been rumored since ancient times. Hazardous Valley is where the stream flowing across Green Despair begins. Until recently, it was only a rumor with no tangible evidence, but it continued to be mentioned thanks to those fond of sharing tales. They say that the stream of Green Despair begins at a small waterfall forming Hazardous Valley. It is said to be the tears shed by the Heavenly God. Before Green Despair was formed, the Heavenly God had three daughters, and their beauty was enough to leave everyone who saw them spellbound. The Heavenly God spent happy days watching over his daughters. Then one day, the sisters all fell in love with the same priest. As they sought to win the favor of the young priest, the sisters began to envy one another. Moreover, the demon imprisoned by the Heavenly God at the Edge of the Abyss continually incited the sisters in an attempt to break its Seal. The unsuspecting sisters sold their Souls to the demon, and they were transformed into hideous snakes. Sadly, the sisters thought only that they had become more beautiful, but the Heavenly God eventually learned the truth and took away all the power residing in the demon. Even then, the Heavenly God was not appeased and personally turned the young priest into a monster, but by then the sisters had long since become one. In the end, the sisters, bound together as one, became trapped in the tears shed by their father. That was the legend of Hazardous Valley.

Surprisingly, a few days ago, an explorer found a way to Hazardous Valley. While wandering through the jungle, the explorer accidentally touched an egg and then witnessed a snake with three heads. As it turned out, the egg they had unknowingly picked up was an entry ticket. There is a story circulating that the sisters transformed into snakes floated the eggs away to lure people. After the story spread, people took eggs indiscriminately in an attempt to enter Hazardous Valley. As a result, eggs are difficult to obtain these days, but Libert is said to have secured them in advance thanks to their business instincts. Because of this, warriors trying to reach Hazardous Valley are buying eggs from Libert. Libert gives an egg to me.

Libert is interested in Zigdris Faello, which appears in Lake in Dusk. They say that the eye attached to it is strange enough to see through to the inside of things. Libert asks me to bring back Zigdris Faello's eye. After looking at Zigdris Faello's eye, Libert plans to sell it at a high price.
