Overview

Kalua is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. This NPC can be found in Green Despair.

Background Story

Not everyone can get what they want. The same was true of what Kalua would have to go through. When the Sage Tower decided to dispatch officers and instructors to the Special Combat Colony, it was only natural to send someone who could serve as an example to the trainees. However, Kalua never expected to be sent to Green Despair. Kalua admitted that Green Despair was a good place for adventurers to improve their skills. However, she could not stand the jungle's humidity interfering with her makeup. In particular, she is distressed that she cannot meet Instructor Gett of Desert Scream.

Activities in In-Game Quests

Green Despair

You first meet her when you enter the Special Combat Colony as a trainee. She teaches you how to fight, use skills, and use the Warp Gate. If you return after visiting another Colony, she gives you a certificate of completion. She continues to watch you closely and, after noticing that you solve the townspeople's problems, recommends you as a special trainee.

Normal Quests

They are troubled by the jungle mutation phenomenon because Plant Toads have changed into Golden Toads. Unlike Plant Toads, Golden Toads eat anything, causing the jungle ecosystem to be destroyed. Kalua commissions the extermination of Golden Toads.

Kalua asks you to deliver a moisturizing pack to Instructor Gett of Desert Scream, warning you not to tell anyone. She says that Gett's skin has deteriorated since transferring to Desert Scream. Kalua insists that you tell Gett that she sent the moisturizing pack. Gett says that Kalua has been sending him moisturizing packs like this for a long time, and although he does not know why she cares so much about his skin, he thanks her for now.

Merchants and travelers passing through Green Despair have been disappearing more frequently lately. After investigating, Kalua identifies a group of Spiders as the culprits behind the disappearances. Sticky webs were found at every disappearance site. During the recent mutation of the jungle, an extremely venomous spider called Spamaton also appeared, and Kalua concludes that it is responsible. Kalua asks you to eliminate Spamaton.

Kalua says that Nevareth has been thrown into tremendous chaos. She says that a world never seen before in her lifetime will emerge after the Lord of Destruction or the Great Destruction has passed. Sage Tower has been cut in half, and people suspect that Sage Tower deliberately stood by and allowed the Lord of Destruction to act. The most serious problem was that some Sages were being driven by a desire for power. Nevareth is facing a war instead of the Great Destruction. Kalua says that groups seeking to expand their influence will try to recruit capable warriors, so a warrior who receives a letter of recommendation from an instructor has had their honor and ability recognized. In exchange for the letter of recommendation, Kalua requests a Death Giant's horn. Once you secure a Death Giant's horn, Kalua will prepare the letter of recommendation and tells you to come back later.

Her newest hobby is cooking. However, she says that whenever she buys a new cookbook, Dark Gnoll Mages steal it because they mistake it for a spellbook, and asks you to retrieve it. She also dislikes insects. She tries to compare Iron Gargoyles and Illusion Gargoyles by having you bring them in to catch the insects overflowing in Green Despair, but the Gargoyles do not eat insects, so the attempt fails.

She asks you to pluck the hair of Mino Corps Spataus in Illusion Castle Radiant Hall.

She explains the Mercenary Contract. It is a two-pronged system that gives fallen warriors a chance while also eliminating monsters. The condition is to defeat a renowned fallen warrior in Volcanic Citadel.

It explains how to use four additional Aura Modes with properties different from those of Earth Aura.
