When you arrive at Fort. Ruina, Sally, the general goods merchant, speaks to you. Because it is dangerous, the people of Fort. Ruina are said to be highly wary of outsiders. Sally came to Fort. Ruina from Desert Scream in search of her younger brother, who disappeared because of a black magician. Sally asks you to find her brother, saying that the black magician who vanished with him lives in Metal Clan Lair in Fort. Ruina. You decide to help her after hearing her tragic story.

While investigating Metal Clan Rare, you discover Sally's younger brother, Leff. Leff is surprised to meet a real living person. If you rescue Leff, Sally is reunited with her brother for the first time in a long while. Sally says she will never forget your kindness.

Sally makes one more request. In Fort. Ruina, there is a child named Solme who lost his parents and lives as an orphan. Sally has been helping Solme, but her younger brother is ill and she cannot leave, so she asks you to deliver bread in her place. Solme, who was playing in the town square, realizes your identity from just a few clues: ‘I've never seen you before’ and ‘the bread Sally always gave me.’ Sally is said to have shed tears, saying that Solme reminded her of her younger brother whenever she saw him.

After eating the bread, Solme tells you about the outsiders who entered Fort. Ruina recently. He says they have settled in the Abandoned House outside the village. Solme judges that they are no ordinary people, considering that they are staying in a place filled with Metal Clan monsters. He also tells you that they seem to be looking for someone.

When you go to the Abandoned House, you can hear your companions' voices. They really were there. Yuan says he deliberately did not go inside so as not to frighten the villagers. Recalling how the Mages once joined forces with the Metal Clan, he thinks it is highly likely that the map itself is Prometheus's Base. However, Mystic Blade says that Prometheus's Base was revealed far too easily, giving him an ominous feeling.

After getting enough rest, the group decides to split into three teams. Mystic Blade and Yuan, along with Arionell, will track Silverwood and Patren, while Freed and Rin will search for the ASC Controller. Nine and I decide to raid Prometheus's Base together. According to the map, Prometheus's Base is Vampire Lair. Nine begins investigating first, and I follow inside, taking care of the Vampires.
Inside, we witness Sirius arguing with Sage Rigel.

It turns out that Nine was a spy for Prometheus. Rigel manipulated Nine into becoming a spy and was stealing information about the Sword of Guardians. Sirius condemns Rigel, asking if he really thinks things will go according to plan, but Rigel retorts that Sirius knows nothing about the lives of miserable people and declares that they will remake the world and create a perfect one. Rigel reveals that the ASC Controller can control the power of the Lord of Destruction, and that the leader of Prometheus is Rigel, the Sage from two generations ago. Sage Rigel from two generations ago became a Lich through forbidden sorcery and has lived for more than three hundred years. Rigel attacks Sirius, saying that someone like me would never dare challenge him. Sirius and I suffer severe injuries and barely escape from Vampire Lair. After escaping and returning to the Abandoned House, Sirius laments that Prometheus deceived them. We decide to prioritize protecting the ASC Controller and Patren over rescuing Nine.

While Sirius recovers from his injuries, we decide to investigate the Heresist hiding in Fort. Ruina. Sally, the general goods merchant, asks whether we are investigating the Heresist cultists, saying she heard that the people staying at the Abandoned House are our companions. She tells us that the Dark Mage her younger brother followed once served as the leader of the Heresist. Sally's younger brother, Leff, remembered the locations of the hideouts belonging to Heathen's Village scattered throughout Fort. Ruina. Sally gives us bombs and asks us to destroy the hideouts. We accept the request because destroying the hideouts might force them to come out into the open. While destroying them with the bombs, we discover a broken Warp Circuit at the third hideout. Sally has never seen anything like it, but says that a professional Blacksmith could repair the circuit and determine its use. The only person currently at the forge in Fort. Ruina is the part-time worker Hide. Hide says he will pass it on when the Blacksmith returns.

While returning to the Abandoned House, our companions urgently send for us through Solme. When we return to the Abandoned House, Sirius tells the group that Nine was infected with The Vampire's poison and became a spy, and that the leader of Prometheus is Sage Rigel from two generations ago, who became a Lich. Sirius gathers everyone's findings so that Patren will not be manipulated as well.

Rin is horrified to learn that they were manipulated by Prometheus's plan. However, Rin says they must be in a difficult position because they ultimately failed in their plan to kill Sirius. The biggest problem right now is the location of the ASC Controller, and Freed is searching for it. Arionell bursts into tears, saying that Silverwood made her think of Aike, while Yuan says that he captured Silverwood but still has not found any trace of Patren. Mystic Blade is currently interrogating him. Sirius worries that Patren may have awakened as the Lord of Destruction, thinking that Silverwood may have lost control of the rampaging Patren.

Meanwhile, Rin asks me for a favor. While investigating the location of the ASC Controller, Rin discovered that many senior officials of the Mage Guild had been replaced. Rin suspects that Prometheus has taken control of the Mage Guild. Rin also says that one Mage Guild official is working with the Metal Clan in the Sewer Hideout to form an alliance with the Metal Clan. Rin decides that this must be stopped. We infiltrate the Sewer Hideout southwest of Fort. Ruina and smash everything in sight, dealing a blow to Prometheus's plans.
