Overview

Cox is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. He can be encountered in Desert Scream.

Background Story

Cox is an employee of Nevareth Port Express. Cox originally hoped to become a swordsman, but realized that Nevareth Port Express was even more impressive. However, he still has not given up on his dream of becoming a swordsman, so he carries a sword on his back. Cox also eases his disappointment by assigning quests to other warriors.

Desert Scream

Cox is first encountered when the player joins the Special Combat Colony as a trainee.

Prologue

He goes to meet him on Sullivan's recommendation, but even Cox did not know Sirius's whereabouts. Instead, Cox tells him that he had secretly sent a message to the Eileen siblings, who ran a general store through the Port Express service.

Kingslayer's Mission

When the player visits after hearing the news from Dunhaik, Cox is dozing. He remains unperturbed, saying that whatever is going to happen will happen anyway, even though the atmosphere in the world is unfavorable. Cox delivers a message from Sirius. Yuan had gone to find the Lord of Destruction carrying only one half of the Kingslayer's Weapon, and since one Weapon alone would not be enough to face the Lord of Destruction, he needed to be rescued quickly. A special device is delivered as well. The Bone Grave is in Undead Ground.

Strange Traveler Skaild

Cox calls the player over, saying that someone named Skaild sent a message. While reading Skaild's message aloud, Cox feels embarrassed but asks whether he did a good imitation. From then on, he delivers messages whenever Skaild calls him.

Ominous Signs of War

Cox is worried that the news coming into the Nevareth Port Service is ominous. War has broken out between Judin and Medenark, and the investigation is making little progress. The mercenary corps hired by each Polis incite war to avoid becoming unemployed. Meanwhile, monsters are also running amok in various places. They multiplied so severely that an incident even occurred in which they invaded the territory of Desert Scream. In Forgotten Ruin, the monster Giant scorpion is rampaging. Cox asks the player to exterminate it, but is troubled that everyone is preoccupied with territorial disputes even while the Lord of Destruction is being resurrected. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that they have no choice but to think about survival in reality rather than the legendary Great Destruction.

Suspicious Sage

When asked about Skaild's whereabouts, he believes Skaild could not possibly have disappeared. He tells you where Skaild's Little House is.

First Meeting

He treats Skaild's disappearance as nothing unusual. After hearing Yerte's explanation, he tells you about the existence of Illusion Castle Underworld. Cox thinks Skaild could not have actually made it as far as Illusion Castle because he is a coward. When told that you could not find Skaild in Illusion Castle, he teases you for being a coward.

Mechanical Monster Weapon

He calls you over, saying that a message has arrived from Skaild. From then on, whenever Skaild calls, he delivers the message.

Skaild Is in Love

He calls you over, saying that a message has arrived from Skaild. Cox believes that Skaild defeated G'ni. He even thinks that someone is jealous of Skaild and is going around saying bad things about him. He also believes the rumor that Skaild defeated Altar of Siena.

The Prelude to True Battle

Although surprised that you want to meet Skaild, he tells you how to meet Skaild.

Normal Quest

The Clay Gargoyle's flapping wings have turned the oasis in Desert Scream into a mudflat. With the shortage of drinking water, the residents are on the verge of starting a riot. In addition, the sound of its flapping wings is keeping Cox sleep-deprived. After you finish the hunt, Cox says that the Clay Gargoyle may finally stop making a mess of the oasis and that he wants to live in a world without monsters as soon as possible.
