Overview
Sullivan is an NPC in the MMORPG CABAL Online. You can meet him in Desert Scream.
Background Story
Sullivan was fascinated by Core Technology among magical technologies. He even became a magic merchant to study Core Technology. As a result, Sullivan proudly became the magic merchant representing Desert Scream. Nevertheless, instead of becoming lazy, Sullivan is thorough about self-management, continuing to study newly released Core Technology and paying attention to weight control. However, as a result, Sullivan's pride is extremely high, and because he cannot forgive Carter for hurting his pride, he continues looking for someone to slap him.
He takes good care to celebrate Keller's birthday because he once got into serious trouble after failing to send Keller a gift. It is not known what Keller did, but Sullivan is always on his guard.
In-Game Quest History
Desert Scream
You first meet him when you enter the Special Combat Colony as a trainee.
He teaches you about Item Attribute Imbuing and Core Upgrade.
Anomaly
He knows the rumors about the Dark Wizard who appeared in the desert, but nothing more. He tells you to go see Armor Merchant Dion.
Prologue
You meet him on Veradrix's recommendation, but Sullivan also had no clear memory of Sirius. Instead, he recommends that you meet Cox.
Normal Quest
Sullivan is not the type to ask others for favors, but circumstances have left him with no choice this time. Sullivan wants to send Cactus Fruit to celebrate Keller's birthday. He is concerned because he once forgot Keller's birthday and got into trouble. He asks you to deliver Cactus Fruit to Keller.
Sullivan asks whether you have heard about the Invisibility Cloak. The Invisibility Cloak is a cloak that hides its wearer from other people's sight as soon as it is worn. It is said to have once been familiar enough for even ordinary people to wear, but has since been lost. Sullivan wants to create an Invisibility Cloak using Ghost and Force Magic. Sullivan is delighted, saying that the Invisibility Cloak can be made if you bring the Materials.
Sullivan grumbles about disliking the heat of Desert Scream. Sullivan remains positive, saying that the hot weather helps with dieting, but says one more thing is needed. That thing is the heart of the Flame Slayer Zombie found on the second basement floor of the Tower of Undead. Sullivan asks you to obtain it, saying that it will help with dieting. When you actually bring it, Sullivan looks displeased but forces themself to eat it for the sake of dieting.
Because of a very strong sense of pride, Sullivan sometimes asks you to slap Carter on the cheek, saying that Carter, the harbor manager, rejected Sullivan. After being slapped, Carter complains that they had met the wrong woman.
While reading a book, Sullivan reads a story about a cup containing a fire that never goes out and asks you to bring the Seed of Flame.
Sullivan asks whether you know about the Core technique that removes the power held by a monster in an Artifact. Sullivan says that it is a technique that can also be applied to new monsters, and that Tyrant, who resides in Forgotten Temple B2F, is the target. Sullivan says that attacking Tyrant when Tyrant removes the armor causes a Ring of Evil Spirit to appear. If you bring the Ring of Evil Spirit containing Tyrant's sealed power, Sullivan will unseal it.
Sullivan asks you to deal with Druga. Sullivan says that, if you go and return, Sullivan will give you the item they secretly intercepted. In fact, the item Sullivan secretly intercepted was an official document sent by the Allied Nations. It stated that warriors who completed difficult missions would be rewarded.
Sullivan informs you that a temple from the Honorable Age has been discovered in Forgotten Ruin. The temple was discovered long ago, but Sage Tower had kept it concealed for a long time because entering it was too dangerous. Sullivan then tells you about a rumor they heard. Around the height of the Honorable Age, when the number of psychics was increasing explosively, a talented psychic established an Academy in the temple they had built in what is now Forgotten Ruin and trained people there. Unfortunately, the Academy was destroyed on the day of the Great Destruction, and the psychic who founded the Academy laughed grotesquely over the corpses of the people. Sullivan says that, because this story has been passed down like a legend, it is difficult to prove its credibility.
When rumors spread that people passing near the temple occasionally disappeared, Sage Tower prohibited ordinary people from approaching the temple at all. Even so, people continued to disappear near the temple, and rumors even spread among warriors that they had encountered a psychic who had once made a name for themself in Forgotten Ruin. Sullivan says that it was given the name Forgotten Temple. In other words, a nickname given by someone was elevated to an official title.
The authorities issued Master Cards to people to search Forgotten Ruin. Its exact name is Master Card: Forgotten Temple B1F, a card that serves as a pass for entering the area. However, Sullivan says that they do not want to go there even for a large sum of money and leaves it to you instead.
Sullivan tells you about a new area. It turned out that the temple located in Forgotten Ruin was unusually large. This time, the second basement floor, B2F, was discovered. Unlike B1F, B2F was a facility filled with all kinds of insects. Sullivan speculates that the mad psychic who built the temple seemed to have conducted some kind of experiment using insects and Mutants. However, exploration of the area was slow, and many expedition parties had already perished. Therefore, the authorities created a separate Master Card restricting access to Forgotten Temple B2F. Sullivan once again leaves it to you, saying that a magic merchant does not need a Master Card.
