Once it became certain from Heil that the ASC Controller was indeed in Undead Ground, the group moves out together. Sirius says that Patren seems to have awakened as the Lord of Destruction and gone berserk, and discusses the possibility that he already possesses two or more Absolute Core Fragments. He says that if that is true, they must prepare a last resort.
The last resort is to kill the King. The Six Stars were each born with two missions, and Arionell and Yuan are the two who can confront the King and break his power. Yuan's second mission is Kingslayer, while Arionell's second mission is Seal. Because they cannot know whether Patren will seal himself like Saint Valentine, nor guarantee the outcome, the Stars of Light have second missions.
When Arionell hears about the Seal, she pities Patren. Yuan, on the other hand, quickly accepts his mission. Fearing that all of Nevareth will turn into hell if he abandons it, he sets out to find the Kingslayer's Weapon. Veradrix says that Arionell's second mission is too harsh, but Veradrix's own mission is Sacrifice.
Afterward, the group decides that Rin and Freed will prepare the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade will track Silverwood, and Veradrix and Arionell will prepare Patren's Seal.
Sirius says that one Apocalypse Card remains, and that the Phantasmal Clan possesses it. No one knows how the Phantasmal Clan obtained it, but it is said that the Phantasmal Clan used it to bring prosperity to their race. Sirius wanted to go himself, but says that he has had difficulty moving since being injured by Rigel, and asks them to retrieve it.
After hunting Wurk in Lake in Dusk and obtaining the Apocalypse Card, Sirius says that the card could be the key to saving the world and tells them to take it to Tesky. When they deliver the Final Apocalypse Card to Tesky with Freed, Tesky is Although acting indifferent, he creates a special device.
Freed receives the special device and the Apocalypse Card from Tesky and, bewildered, suggests that they go see Sirius. After Freed returns from receiving the special device from Tesky, Sirius explains how it is used. The device can charge the Apocalypse Card's energy and temporarily stop the Lord of Destruction's power. Sirius says that it may be needed someday and hands the device to me.

After hearing from Sirius how to use the special device, Freed recommends returning to the House of Undead first, saying that he will take some time and feels uneasy leaving only Arionell and Veradrix there.
However, by the time they arrived, it was already too late. They heard Arionell screaming and the sounds of someone fighting inside. When they hurried in, Arionell was sobbing. Arionell told them what had happened.
Patren seized a Core Piece from the Phantasmal Clan, bringing his total to two Core Pieces. However, he had grown disgusted with reality and came to Veradrix and Arionell to seal himself. While Arionell hesitated, Silverwood attacked to take the Pieces. Veradrix saved Patren and sacrificed himself instead, and Patren disappeared somewhere once again.
Veradrix was critically injured while stopping Silverwood. Before dying, Veradrix left a final message asking them to protect Nevareth, saying that he had only fulfilled his mission and was relieved that Patren was safe. Sirius regretted leaving only Arionell and Veradrix behind, but encouraged them by saying that he would not let their deaths be in vain.
Sirius explains that because Veradrix belonged to the Sage Tower, his funeral must be conducted by the Polis authorities rather than civilian authorities, and asks ‘me’ to transport Veradrix’s remains to Desert Scream. When the enraged Yuan went alone to find the Lord of Destruction with only the Kingslayer's Weapon, Sirius also sent an urgent message so that he could be rescued.
Although Rin and Freed are investigating, they have been unable to find the ASC Controller, and the search for the Mystic Blade has produced no results either. Sirius is concerned that the Lord of Destruction’s rampage is accelerating. The residents have not been harmed yet, but it is impossible to know how long that will last.
Sirius asks ‘me’ to bring Arionell into contact with the Lord of Destruction and watch over the King's Consort’s attempt to undertake the second mission. He says that, since the Lord of Destruction’s energy is surging strongly, Arionell should be able to locate him instinctively. He also speculates that, because the Dagger Patren gave ‘me’ in the past contains Patren’s will, it may be possible to speak with Patren through the Dagger.
When they return after meeting Patren, everyone thanks them for coming back safely. Sirius had thought Patren was a weak child, but is impressed to learn that he possessed the strong will to choose to seal himself. However, if Prometheus finds the ASC Controller before the Lord of Destruction, sealing himself will be impossible even if Patren’s will remains.
