Background Story

Blacksmith Alba Hide takes charge of the blacksmith shop whenever Najaba is away. He dreams of becoming a full-time employee rather than a part-time employee someday and has a complex about his stutter and excessive body hair.

The True Identity of Prometheus

While destroying the Heresist hideouts, you discover a suspicious broken warp circuit in the third hideout. Sally tells you to go to the forge to have it repaired. Hide, who greets you instead of Najaba, promises to deliver it to the Blacksmith.

In Search of the Land of Death

It is said that, because the Blacksmith had been away for too long, Hide tried to repair the broken warp circuit himself but failed. As a result, the warp circuit was damaged beyond repair, and Hide apologizes for it. However, his actions produced an unexpected result: he discovered the string ASC inside the warp circuit. Najaba does not know what ASC is, but is said to have guessed that some powerful energy had condensed within it.

Normal Quests

Hide wants to create an artificial-intelligence steel machine using the Brain Plate of a Mechanical Monster, but he has been unable to obtain the necessary component. To make the machine Hide wants, he needed the Brain Plate of Auto Cannon-Ex+. If you bring him the item, Hide vows never to forget the favor.

Hide says that the atmosphere in Fort. Ruina has worsened since strange signs began appearing one day. Surprisingly, a wild locomotive has been seen running amok without a driver. More than one person has already seen the locomotive moving with its engine room empty. Moreover, the locomotive was gradually approaching the village. If it crashed into the village, major damage would follow. Hide says that the locomotive has been seen at an old underground station. It is a ruin a short distance from Fort. Ruina, and a special ticket is required to enter it. Hide asks you to stop the train as he hands over a broken Train Card.

When Solme teases Hide that he is hairier than a Dark Minotaurus, he asks you to catch one so he can really compare them. Afterward, he asks you to obtain components for making a razor, saying that his beard keeps growing thickly. He says that his abundant hair makes it difficult to use an ordinary razor. When you obtain components from MA-03 Armun Rutil and MA-05 Armun Pallida, Hide is pleased that he now has a way to make a razor.

He mentions the recently discovered ruins of Pontus Ferrum and explains how to enter. He says that the Capella Federation and Procyon found it while searching for the Sage's Legacy scattered throughout the world and restoring the Honorable Age records. Capella and Procyon agreed to investigate the unfamiliar region together and dispatched elite troops to Pontus Ferrum under the agreement. Hide says that it is filled with mechanical monsters whose origins are unknown and is barely mentioned even in the Honorable Age records. Completed before the Era of Humans, the site is said to utterly reject humans. Immediately after its discovery, it became known as a sea of cold metal, and people gave code names to the mechanical monsters found in Pontus Ferrum. The names were assigned in the order they were discovered. Hide requests that, in accordance with an official Allied Nations document, you find the Cave Circuit from ARM-03 Inspector and insert it into an electronic reader. The Cave Circuit is an important component in the study of the monsters of Pontus Ferrum.

Najaba's blacksmith shop is struggling financially. Since business has been slow, Hide says he also makes kitchen utensils and asks you to obtain the parts needed for a blender from UMD-02 Cornus. He dreams that once he makes the blender, he may become a full-time employee as well.
