You receive a summons from Warehouse Guard Cox. Apparently, a message has arrived from someone named Skaild. Cox reads Skaild's message aloud, embarrassed by its exaggerated tone. When you go to meet Skaild, he welcomes you in the exaggerated tone characteristic of his messages. Skaild tells you to bring him a Stone Beetle, saying he will teach you a technique for defeating one in a single blow. However, Skaild's method is utterly absurd: grab it by the ears and beat it mercilessly. Skaild tells you to review what you have learned immediately and then disappears as if fleeing.

Second meeting. Skaild tells you that if you hunt enough Lihornas, you will eventually be able to fire Thunder Beam from your forehead. He then launches into a long speech about the monsters he would like to keep as pets. However, when you actually hunt a Lihorna, he bursts out laughing and asks whether you really wanted to fire Thunder Beam.

Third meeting. Skaild says he is sorry for deceiving you all this time and wants to apologize. As a token of his apology, he says he will give you some useful information. That information is that you can make a lot of money by selling the sturdy hides of the Two-headed Hound. When you look at him skeptically, Skaild scolds you, asking whether you have lived your whole life being deceived. But when you bring the hides to Libert, Libert asks why you picked up such trash and says that if you need money, he can even extend you credit.

Fourth meeting. Skaild claims that he is actually from a noble family. If you still do not believe him, he tells you to go ask Mezias. Mezias is said to have immediately recognized the Miz family's heirloom that Skaild possesses. He clicks his tongue, saying that no one in Nevareth does not know the Miz family. However, Mezias sets the record straight. It is true that Skaild was a candidate to inherit the Miz family, but Skaild caused so much trouble that they did not even care when he ran away from home. Since he took the Miz family's heirloom with him when he left, they are pursuing him. When you return to Skaild and confront him, he denies running away from home, protesting that he merely ventured out into a larger world.

Fifth meeting. Skaild claims that Griffin is actually a natural monument designated by the Sage Tower and loudly insists that something terrible will happen if you hunt Griffin. If you do not believe him because of his past record, Skaild tells you to hunt Griffin yourself. He says an officer will summon you to scold you. When you ask Officer Dunhaik, Dunhaik lets out a hollow laugh. Several warriors have asked the same question over the past few days. Dunhaik gives the common-sense answer that there is no such thing as a natural monument and that, even if there were, they would never protect a monster. He emphasizes to the end that Griffin is not a natural monument.

The sixth meeting. Skaild tells you about the newly established Special Administration Colony, Port Lux. He then boasts that Exilian Island is sinking because of a terrifying giant stone monster there, and that it will take a month to get there by ship. When you ask whether you could travel there through a Warp Gate, Skaild scolds you to study harder, saying that if it were possible, would they have created the Colony by now? He also says he heard that the guard of Port Lux is an unparalleled beauty and that he will meet her someday.

The seventh meeting. Unlike usual, Skaild says he has encountered a life-or-death crisis and tells you to come quickly, promising to give you the honor of helping him. When you meet him, Skaild says that the Miz Family is currently facing serious financial difficulties and may be ruined if this cannot be stopped. He then asks you to lend him Money, saying that you should think of it as an investment. If you try not to lend him Money, he throws a tantrum, saying that you are being too harsh. In the end, Skaild disappears with the Money, laughing gleefully and saying that the family is on the verge of ruin. When you reappear, he is startled, apparently thinking that you had already left, and begs you not to hit him.

The eighth meeting. He asks you to meet him, saying that he will show you something wonderful. Skaild appears riding a Bike. When you ask how he got it, he boasts that there is nothing in this world that Money cannot buy. Judging by the circumstances, he clearly bought it with the Money he borrowed last time. Skaild says he will give you a new Bike if you pass the test he sets. The test is to go to Lakeside and obtain Dark Noll's Sword Fragment. However, when you actually bring him the sword, he is disappointed, saying that you brought a useless piece of a sword. When you argue that he told you to bring Dark Noll's Sword Fragment, Skaild reacts as though he does not remember. If you ask for the Bike Card, he says he cannot give it to you because it is expensive, and gives you something else instead.
