At Prometheus's Base, the group discovers a strangely carved transparent Ice Ring. Sirius recognizes it as the ring Rigel carried. Rigel had a habit of imbuing his belongings with his attributes. The Ice Ring follows its owner, making it clear that Rigel is at Prometheus's Base.
As Sirius predicted, Rigel's Ice Ring reacts with the entrance to Ice Castle. However, Sirius determines that they cannot wipe out the base immediately because they are outnumbered, so he first tries to assess their movements and situation. In other words, he wants me to infiltrate Prometheus's Base, install a listening device, and monitor them. As a result, the location of the ASC Controller is revealed.
Sirius storms the Tower of Undead with Rin and fights Rigel's minions. After a fierce battle, Rin is injured, and Sirius fights Rigel alone. Sirius suffers a fatal injury and is rescued by me, but he says that I should have saved the ASC Controller first instead of him. Humanity's fate depends on the existence of the ASC Controller. The Lord of Destruction seeks to destroy the ASC Controller and become completely free from Patren's sense of self. Prometheus seeks to subdue the Lord of Destruction through the ASC Controller. The ASC Controller is currently weakened by the Lord of Destruction's attack. Sirius asks me to destroy the ASC Controller.
Although I destroy the ASC Controller and defeat former Sage Rigel, Sirius's injuries are fatal. Sirius leaves a final message that we must trust Patren's will remaining within the Lord of Destruction and wait, but ultimately dies. Everyone in the group mourns Sirius's death.

After Sirius's death, the companions gathered again at the House of Undead. Mourning Sirius's death, Arionell says that she hopes no one else will ever leave her side. She feels helpless knowing that everything depends on Patren's will. Upon learning that Sirius had died, Freed says that their movement was unintentionally delayed and is confused about whom to trust and follow from now on. Mystic Blade apologizes, saying that the outcome might have been different if they had been able to contact Freed. They also say that they should wait for the Lord of Destruction to be sealed while preparing for the possibility of failure.
But before they have any time to come to terms with their grief, Patren takes Arionell to the Altar of Eternity. It happened so quickly that no one could stop it.
Rin wonders whether this is Patren's will or whether the Lord of Destruction is trying to seal itself. After the Great Destruction is prevented by Arionell and the Lord of Destruction is sealed, Rin bitterly realizes that the Age of Imperfect Humans has come as a result. Still, Rin feels relieved that everyone is safe.
Once Patren's sealing is complete, Yuan says that he will help Arionell grow until she is capable of protecting herself sufficiently. Freed says that Sirius once told him to remember the Sword of Guardians whenever he looked at the Apocalypse Card. Freed then says that he will set out to find the surviving members of the Sword of Guardians. Rin says that she will rebuild the Thief Guild and look for ways to help those who helped her. Mystic Blade says that they will track Silverwood again, adding that this story will only end when one of the two dies.
After asking what ‘I’ will do from now on, Mystic Blade says that if ‘I’ do not know what to do, they will give ‘me’ something to do. Mystic Blade asks ‘me’ to make a small monument commemorating Aike, Aldebaran, Veradrix, and Sirius, who died before them. They say that the monument they had been making remains unfinished near the House of Undead and ask ‘me’ to complete it.
